Danny Green's one-punch radio CSA

The team at the 2UE production department have created a CSA with Danny Green for his Anti Violence One Punch campaign.

2UE's production department has produced the 30sec CSA which they have made available to every station in the country. The audio is being distributing via Fairfax Syndication.

2UE are encouraging all stations to get on board and play this message, especially considering the recent spate of alcohol fuelled violence and media attention on one-punch incidents.

Breaking down the walls at 2UE

The walls between offices at 2UE have literally been torn down, allowing better connections between staff across all areas of the station. Newsroom staff now freely mix with program teams and on air stars no longer close themselves in their offices away from the rest of the station.
The changes to the physical layout are an indication of the new programming philosophy, according to Program Director Clinton Maynard.

Jason Morrison back on 2GB

In what may turn out to be a live audition for a return to 2GB, Ben Fordham today chatted to Jason Morrison.

In 2010, Morrison jumped ship from 2GB to do breakfast on 2UE, up against Alan Jones.

Later, amidst a range of changes at 2UE, Morrison was moved to drive, and, at the end of last year, was not renewed

2UE launches new 2014 lineup

It's been a big day in radio with the launch of many new radio shows and teams.

This morning, 2UE 954 in Sydney launched its new breakfast show with John Stanley and Gary Linnell and the station's regular 2014 lineup begins from today. The full lineup can be viewed here.

Sydney’s 2UE 954 unveils its new 2014 on air line up on Monday, in what it promises will be an exciting fresh start.

General Manager of 2UE 954 Chris Parker said:

"There was a moment of madness," when Justin Smith accepted the job of Drive presenter at 2UE Sydney, he told listeners on his last day at 3AW.

Smith has been Neil Mitchell's producer for 11 years and was on air over the past few weeks as Mitchell's fill in.

Among a batch of calls from well wishers, Neil Mitchell also called in to say his farewells to Smith and to wish him good luck up north.

​2UE takes a sharp turn to the centre: New roster announced

If you though Kyle and Jackie O moving to ARN was surprise, the new 2UE roster for 2014 will astound.

The station has done extensive research on what listeners want and if the first in their series of print ads is any indication then it will be 'like being able to advertise on the ABC.'

Long time 2UE listeners will no doubt see the changes as a sharp turn to the left, compared what they’ve been used to with Jason Morrison and Paul Murray.

Promotions and Marketing Director Trevor Farrugia and promotions executive Alice Pavey have both tendered their resignation to 2UE management.

Farrugia who has been with UE for less than two years has accepted a post as Talent Manager and Publicist for Fox Sports. He has agreed to stay on at the station till Saturday December 7th to run the annual Harvey Norman Christmas OB.

Alice Pavey will stay on till December 20th after which she intends to relocate with her partner to Canada.

2GBs Ben Fordham lambasts 2UE for letting Jason Morrison go

With the help of another former 2UE presenter, Michael Smith, 2GB’s Ben Fordham got stuck into his rival station’s management in a 4 minute rant on his top rating Drive show.

He also invited Jason Morrison to join him in the studio , the one that Morrison used to occupy before he went to 2UE three years ago, as soon as his current contract permits.
