Alan Jones says it's time he entered the ring against Coles

Alan Jones has told his listeners that he is growing tired of “corporate hypocrites” as he took aim this morning at Coles for their decision to stop advertising on his program.
 
Jones told his audience:
 
"I can tell my own listeners to give Coles Supermarkets … and their petrol stations a very wide berth. This is a two way street, we can both play the same game. It might be time I entered the ring and started playing that game, and good luck to you by the time I am finished.”
 

Singo sells out of Macquarie Radio

John Singleton has confirmed to the Australian Stock Exchange that he will sell his shares in Macquarie Media Limited to Nine Entertainment.

Singleton holds 55.3 million shares, which will now give Nine voting power over 87% of the company.

Alan Jones has also confirmed that he will sell his 1% stake in the company to Nine.

The other major shareholder, Mark Carnegie, has not yet confirmed whether he will accept Nine's offer.

Macquarie Media and 2GB have released a statement on the ongoing health issue of Ray Hadley, saying that he will remain in hospital.
 
Hadley was forced to leave his onair shift on Monday as he succumbed to an attack of diverticulitis.

 
The following statement was posted on the 2GB website
 

Ray was admitted to hospital on Monday after another attack of diverticulitis.

It’s a painful condition that has required treatment in hospital.
