Fordham to breakfast as Jones quits 2GB

Ben Fordham has been named as the new host of 2GB’s breakfast program replacing legendary broadcaster Alan Jones, who this morning announced his retirement following advice from his doctors.

4BC Brisbane is likely to get its own local breakfast show.

2GB’s The Garden Clinic is celebrating 40 years on-air this Easter long weekend, with the show set to welcome back some familiar voices.
 
Presented by Linda, Sandra and Graham Ross, The Garden Clinic offers extensive gardening knowledge, practical know-how, top tips and interviews and news from around the world of gardening.
 
The program began on 2GB at Easter in 1980 when Graham Ross was asked to front a new program on Sunday mornings.
 

2GB's Natalie Peters tests positive for Covid19

2GB newsreader Natalie Peters has been diagnosed with coronavirus.

After returning from overseas she isolated herself and, in her first week of isolation, developed symptoms then took a drive-thru test that came back positive.

“I can’t tell you how relieved I’m feeling right now that I’ve not been wandering around the streets of Sydney for the past 11 days.

“I’ve been strict with my isolation and that’s the thing that stops me from making it worse.”

Uber Eats comes to Ben's Party

COVID19 moves some of radios biggest programs into isolation

Schedules for radio are being thrown into chaos with a number of high-profile presenters either confirmed COVID-19 cases, or self-isolating because of close contact with the disease.
 
Nine Radio has put Sydney stars Alan Jones and Ray Hadley, and Melbourne duo Ross Stevenson & John Burns into isolation. Hadley and Jones are broadcasting from their respective properties and Ross & John are holed up at Stevenson’s house.
