2Day FM listeners who are signed up to a VIP focus group listener page have been receiving calls from KIIS this week asking them about the new station and inviting them to be callers.

While KIIS has denied using numbers from the private audience reearch focus group, members of the group have been active on the closed forum page, discussing the unsolicited calls.

One panel member commented to the closed group:

Today he mentioned a station he has never actually worked on, letting slip the old Mix call sign.

In a surprise message on their facebook page, the 2Day breakfast team have posted a link to the new Kyle and Jackie rival show.

The Jules, Merrick and Sophie page posted this message, directing fans where to find the new page and saying 2Day wants a "fun positive and friendly community."

In December 2012, the ACMA began an investigation into the Today Network's broadcast of the notorious prank call, where Hot 30 Countdown hosts Michael Christian and Mel Greig impersonated Prince Charles and the Queen to get a medical update on Kate Middleton from nurses at a hospital in London.



A suicide note, published in today's London Times, names Mel and MC and says they are responsible.

The report, says the leaked suicide note asked her bosses to make them pay her mortgage.

Jacintha Saldanha left three handwritten note in her living quarters close to King Edward VII’s Hospital in London where she died last December. 

The note revealed by The Times today says:

“Please accept my apologies. I am truly sorry. Thank you for all your support.
