Unconfirmed reports suggest that Gold Logie winner and TV producer Rove McManus will take over the struggling Breakfast show at SCA’s hit network flagship 2Day FM.

High profile news reader Geoff Field has left 2Day FM.

Field announced the news on social media this afternoon, telling his followers:
 

"I have left 2Day FM and I will be taking time out with Jason. Rest assured I'm OK, and once again thank you so much for your kindness over the years. I'm sorry I can't reply, but I know you'll understand...

"I spent nearly 9 years in community radio, before I finally believed in myself"
