10 year old Josh takes over 100.9 Sea FM

Since radioinfo uncovered 10 year-old Josh Agnew (story here), the youngest radio station General Manager and perhaps announcer in Australia, he’s been in hot demand.
Hobart’s local newspaper, The Mercury picked up on our story and reported on Josh’s efforts to crowd-fund for new equipment for his radio station JNET Radio Australia.

As you toast your Easter Buns, spread them with butter, make a cuppa and get ready to tune into one of the many long-weekend countdowns on your favourite radio station take a moment to think of Paul and Woody from Hobart's 100.9 Sea FM.
The Hobart breakfast duo hatched a plan to smash the Guinness World Record for the biggest Easter bun. With the support of Cripps bakery, which volunteered to bake the bun in their newly installed Italian oven, a massive 300-kilogram Easter bun was constructed.

It’s the 2015 version of the Ice Bucket Challenge with radio stations around the world jumping on board and it’s just hit our shores.
All you need to do is make a video of you and someone else eating a Twizzler, Lady-and-The-Tramp style (two people chowing down on the ends of a piece of licorice), then nominate your friends, families, BFFs or frenemies to take the challenge or donate to raise money for programs and services supporting Autism.

As Senior Producer and Brand Manager of Southern Cross Austereo’s celebrity brand Scoopla, Justin Hill treasures every moment and every selfie.

The Tasmanian went from working at an interactive theme park in Hobart all about Antarctica, to interviewing some of the biggest celebrity names in the business and lost 53 kilos along the way, that’s 13kg more than the  tallest and heaviest of all living penguin species the Emperor Penguin endemic to the South Pole, as Justin could tell you.

It would appear Southern Cross Austereo’s hit branding will be rolled out regionally sooner rather than later.

A search of whois.com.au, an Internet record listing, identifying who owns a domain and how to get in contact with them shows at least three of SCA’s Sea FM stations, Gold Coast, Hobart and Gosford have registered new domain names.

New home for SEA FM and Heart 107.3 Hobart

100.9 SEA FM, Heart 107.3 and Southern Cross Television have moved into new state-of-the-art premises in Central Hobart.
After spending more than 30 years in Liverpool Street, in the Hobart CBD, SCA Hobart has merged its separate radio and tv offices into one hub.

David Walsh, is the brains and money behind Mona, the now world famous museum based in Berriedale, Hobart.
