About the role
Based in Sydney we are seeking a Technical Production Manager to join 2GB and the Talking Lifestyle Network.  In this role, you will be reporting to the Head of Technology and supporting Sydney’s #1 radio station.
Working closely with the Head of Technology - Sydney, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with show producers and the technology teams to manage and coordinate all facets of outside broadcasts & events, including equipment specification and maintenance, crewing, venue technical and logistics coordination, and quality control of all our live events.
  • Create and manage project timelines, edit schedules and contribute to budgets
  • Provide administrative and technical support through all stages of each outside broadcast or live event
  • Manage all production resources, both internal and external, including staff, ensuring maximum cost efficiency and product output are consistently maintained
  • Report regularly to Senior Management regarding the status of all events and their associated budgets.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and traits:

  • Highly organized mindset, with great attention to detail and the ability to think quickly under pressure
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a broadcast or post-production environment
  • Self-starter and high level of initiative
  • Ability to communicate directly with on-air staff and producers from a point of understanding and empathy
  • Knowledge of Digital Radio systems and broadcast I.T. systems a must
  • Strong project management skills and experience a must.
  • Demonstrated skills in scheduling, budgeting and documentation
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple event at one time.
  • Expert level knowledge of all technologies used to connect outside broadcasts & experience in music production and live mixing an advantage
  • The ability to thrive in a challenging environment

This is a full time role and from time to time requires flexibility in working hours due to event schedules.
