Which stations play the same songs?

Crossover songs report: Perth stations Mix 94.5 and 96fm play 30% of the same songs.

After each ratings result, music directors around the country take a good look at their playlists and compare them with competitors, to see where they can make subtle adjustments.
 
Should the station play more of a song our competitor is playing, or less?
 
AirCheck has analysed radio station song crossovers in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Gold Coast. The chart below compares four stations in each market, with the exception of the Gold Coast, where two stations are compared.
 

Adelaide

The top 2 graphs show that Mix and Cruise have very different playlists, while SAFM and Nova share about a quarter of their playlists, playing just over 26% of the same songs.
 

Brisbane

B105 and Nova in Brisbane play 27.8% of the same songs, while there is very little crossover between 4BH and 97.3.
 

Perth

Austereo’s Mix94.5 and Fairfax Media’s 96fm have nearly 30% of the same songs in their playlists, and the crossover between DMG’s Nova and Austereo’s 92.9 is also high, at 26.2%.
 

Sydney

In Sydney, Nova and 2Day have the most crossover at 29.2%, while there is little crossover between Nova and ARN’s Edge 96.1.
 

Melbourne

Magic and MyMP play a quarter of the same songs and Fox has a 23.1% crossover with the Nova 100 playlist.
