Jonesy does it for the kids

WSFM’s Amanda Keller made her breakfast co-host Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones do the one thing he swore he’d never to do – cut his hair.

Jonesy had some conditions, he wanted a cut that made him look like Mark Wahlberg, but sadly Amanda could make no such no promise.

Over the past month, Jonesy’s hair has become quite the talking point over at Sydney’s WSFM.

From having his hair styled in iconic Hollywood looks to threatening to leave his role at WSFM if he had to cut his hair  – Jonesy has been very clear about how much he loves his locks.

But Amanda came up with a genius plan to see her co-host get a trim and help raise much needed funds for the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation and the 2016 Gold Telethon.

Last week Amanda offered Jonesy $50 to get a haircut, joking he said it would take more like $5,000.

But that got Amanda thinking … instead of giving Jonesy the cash, why not go all out for a great cause?

With the help of generous businesses Amanda raised $10,000, and Jonesy (reluctantly) agreed to let Amanda cut his hair live on air during their breakfast show today.

All funds raised will be donated to the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation and the 2016 Gold Telethon.
