And so it began.
At a minute or so past 10 am the last song on Radar came to an abrupt end and after a few seconds of dead air the silence was broken as the voices of Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley proclaimed a new era, promising listeners that they henceforth could “rock n’ roll all night and party every day.”
Who wouldn’t want to be in that? Especially if you’re Kiss fan. You can, for some time yet, listen to the bands classic rock catalogue uninterupted.
For those less than crazy fans, or for those that missed it here are the first two breaks on the new Triple M Classic Rock.
Interesting to see how long this will last, it's a shame the main identity can't relinquish some of it's former glory, surely the future audience would appreciate it and likewise the younger gen!
as we were duped by the unofficial launch with KISS, could you put the official launch on from Tuesday, a lot of us missed it, when I flicked it on out of curiosity it was awesome to hear, now I can't turn it off, thank you Triple M for giving us a listenable alternative with great NEWS service too
I have been listening for the last week or so, and while I love the format I have noticed that there are still some technical hitches to fix. Most of the time it is songs jumping either forwards or backwards in parts - I did not know that wave files could do that. Plus without an announcer or 2 it would be hard to identify when this happens so it could get fixed. Really need someone there doing some small talk (apart from news) otherwise why not just listen to all these songs on an MP3 player? After all it is what I have in my car and what I program on my radio show.
