Triple M Sydney has added three high profile NRL stars to its sporting line up for 2012 with the introduction of a new Saturday afternoon NRL Show ‘The Offload’ from this weekend noon – 3pm following Dead Set Legends.

Gorden Tallis, Ryan Girdler & Adam ‘Mad Dog’ MacDougall (pictured) will be joined by former Triple M Monday Night Football Radio Commentator Anthony Maroon to deliver the latest NRL news, stories, interviews & game previews.  

Dan Jones from ZooFM Dubbo is joining SCAustereo and Dubbo’s StarFM. He’ll be heard on mornings from June 4th.A year ago Dan filled up his car with fuel/demo tapes/ CV’s and drove around the state trying to get ON AIR. Now, as then, he called Dubbo home.  The Content Team at StarFM Dubbo is excited to welcome Dan to the team.

Changes at River949 Ipswich include two new recruits to the announcing staff. Marnie T who was recently on Sydney’s Mix 106.5 will be doing mornings while 20 year veteran Aaron Stevens has left 7AD Devonport to do Drive.

Also Daniel Thomas (not pictured) moves from Creative into the Music Director’s role and will host 1pm to 3pm on air.

With the departure of Dirk Anthony from SBS Radio (see our earlier story), managerial changes take place at SBS Radio’s Audio and Language Content Division. Mandi Wicks will formally step into the role of Director. She was previously Network Manager. 

Trevor Long will take over as Network Manager (previously Business Affairs Manager), and Sally Paitaridis will become Business Affairs Manager (previously Deputy Business Affairs Manager).

Grant Broadcasters' Wave FM Wollongong has just launched its new Drive show 'Kiwi Todd & Wally for the Drive Home.'

Stephen Walter, former Content Director 929 Tamworth, has joined Todd Stevens at Wave FM Wollongong, for the new show.

Kiara Parker (pictured) is joining the ARN newsteam in Melbourne full time. She's replacing Miriam Maghrabi, who is off to SEN.

Sam Phelps will take up the role of Content Director at 2TM/92.9 Tamworth from May 21st.

He is currently Network Sound Designer for ARN Sydney, and previously worked at Star 104.5 fm Central Coast, and in Muswellbrook and Albury.

Jamie McDonald, former drive announcer at ZZZfm, has made the move across Australia to join the Austereo group! Jamie is excited to take on the breakfast shift at 747 Radiowest and is looking forward to once again living in a town that loves AFL! 

Former head of Nielsen Media Peter Cornelius has joined Kinesis Media. Kinesis provides independent strategic consultancy services for marketers, media and communication companies.

Prior to working at Nielsen, Peter was MD and Chief Negotiating Officer of Zenith Media. He has also held the roles of President of the MFA (Media Federation), Chairman of the ABC (Audit Bureau) and Board member of the CAB (Circulations Audit Bureau).

Radio National manager, Michael Mason,is off on a longish leave  from this Thursday returning July 24. Keeping an eye on things while he's gone will be James O’Brien and Amanda Armstrong.

Michael Lynch, who has been with Sportsbrand Media in Melbourne for the last 8 months rejoins the Grant Broadcasters Group at 2NM as breakfast host and Music Director. Lynchy previously worked at the network's Nowra Stations. 

Alison Fleming from Great Lakes FM, Taree has scored the presenter's job at GEM FM Inverell.

ACRA award winner Gemma O’Neill is leaving the Kyle & Jackie O Show to start a family. Her message to colleagues in a memo this week says it all:

"After spending 7 years on the road with Nicole Kidman and the last 2 years working on this amazing show I've decided it's time for me to take a break from the workforce and enjoy my new role as a wife.  It's been an incredibly hard decision as I love our show and am very attached to Kyle and Jackie but I'm excited to enjoy some sleep ins and my husband is excited that I won't be turning all elements of our relationship into phone topics. I will return to being a proud Kyle and Jackie O show listener."

Nick Randall (pictured) has been appointed to the newly created role of National Sales Operations Manager at Southern Cross Austereo in addition to his current position as Director of Sales for Sydney Radio.

SCA has also introduced the roles of Director of Sales in Brisbane and Adelaide, which will be taken up by Adam Furness and Rick Tyrell.

A couple of new faces, and voices at AIR News as the independent radio news service goes into the eighth year of service. Former Sport 927 breakfast news presenter Lesley Yeomans (pictured) has come on board as a freelancer, and will be heard at various times across the service. Meanwhile new girl on the block is Julie Clift, who is also joining AIR News in a freelance capacity. Julie is one of the latest graduates from Joel Helmes' Sydney Radio School.

2XL and SNOW FM, cover the Eden Monaro region from Cooma and Jindabyne, have a new Program Director in the shape of Scotty McLaren, who’s previously worked at stations in Alice Springs, the Hunter Valley, Tamworth, Innisfail and Rockhampton.

dmg has appointed Peter Charlton to the position of Group Sales Director for the company. Peter joins dmg from Adshel Street Furniture where he has held the position of Sales Director, Australia and NZ since November 2010. 

Prior to that he held the role of UK Sales Director for leading UK outdoor company CBS Outdoor for 5½ years, and previously he was National Sales Director for Opus GWR Radio for 6 years, also in London.  In his time at GWR Radio, Peter was involved with the launch of digital radio in the UK.  Peter started his radio career at Capital Radio in London where he was Agency Group Head for six years.

Three staff are leaving Melbourne's 91.5: news staff Nikole Gunn, James Lake and Bree Roberts. At Sydney's 95.3, News Director Denee Savoia, newsroom part-timer Natasha Lee and presenter Anthony Maroon are leaving the station.

James Lake has joined Triple M as a casual, working on the footy show.

Alex Dean is now presenting Weekend Breakfast at Mix 106.5 Sydney, and is also anchoring the networked 'Better Homes and Gardens' program, previously anchored by Byron Webb.

At 2WEB in Bourke, Lez Sanders is the new All rounder, and Tricia Duffield (pictured) is the station's new journalist, starting in early May. Lez has come via ABC 612 in Brisbane, Radio 2SM and FM 99.3 in Chatswood. Tricia started in 2006 as a freelance journalist for West Australian Newspapers; announcer at 2SM, ABC 612, and recently EP for the John Laws Show at 2SM.

MCM Media has appointed Lachlan Brahe as Commercial Director – Digital, responsible for continuing the Company’s rapid growth as a provider of premium online video.  He has over 14 years’ experience in the digital marketing industry and comes to MCM Media from Carat, where he was Head of Digital Strategy.

Even more movements at SCA Perth, at 92.9, Jase Allen has taken on the Executive Breakfast Producer role in addition to his Assistant Content Director Duties. This left an opening in his Music Director/Operations Manager role, which has been filled by Amanda Lee (pictured).

ARN Dubai is saying goodbye to Steve Pulley, who has been based in Dubai since the launch of the Arabian Radio Networks number one station Virgin Radio. He leaves to head back to New Zealand this Friday. Here he is pictured with his Mr Virgin himself.

In Perth, Erica Hodge has been appointed to the role of Mix 94.5 Assistant Content Director, in addition to her current role of Breakfast Executive Producer for The Bunch. Tim Lordan, currently afternoon announcer and product manager will become morning announcer and operations manager. Craig Weston, currently morning announcer, takes on the role of afternoon announcer and product manager. Mark Wiggett (pictured) returns to the Mix 94.5 team as Music Director.

Cori Deguara has been appointed 2GB Direct Sales Manager, with Steve Anderson taking over from Cori as 2CH Direct Sales Manager.

Channel Nine news sports presenter Mark Readings will be joining 97.3 Coast FM Mandurah from April 30.

Marcus Paul, previously of Gold/Sea FM Gold Coast, 2UE, i98 and Wave FM Wollongong will join the ARN Brisbane newsroom, beginning next Monday. He will read bulletins for 4KQ and 973. 

Former 3MTR breakfast presenter and PD Steve Price will present nights on 2GB from next month and Brian Wilshire is expected to move to mid-dawns, after taking three months leave.

After a couple of years away from radio, former Gold Coast Radio Centre Program Director Jason Matthews has joined Triple M Brisbane as an announcer and as producer of the Dead Set Legends.

Jane Wright has been appointed Sales Manager at Zinc 100.7 Townsville.

Dave 'Stretto' Stretton has made his move again, leaving 4BU and Hitz FM in Bundaberg for the position of station manager at Zinc 100.7 and Mix 106.3 in Townsville - he hopes to leave his bags unpacked for a while.

Amanda Lee has joined Perth's 92.9 as Music Director and Operations Manager. She was previously Music Director of Nova 919 Adelaide.

ARN Network Integration Specialist, Jared Henningsen, has announced his resignation. Jared who has almost exhausted employment opportunities in Australia having previously worked at Fairfax Radio, Austereo, Channel Nine, Grant Broadcasters and Tasmanian Broadcasters has decided to pursue his dream to take his talents to the United States.  

In yet another change to its sales organisation, Southern Cross Austereo has announced that Adam Furness, hitherto National Director of Digital Sales, will take over the Brisbane Sales Director role for all the network’s radio sales, both metro and regional, as well as television. Furness has worked in radio since 2001 at Austereo with a stint at MRN from 2005.

Ryan Jon Dunn has come back to Oz from Phuket leaving LIVE radio 89.5 FM to join 98.1 Power FM in the Hunter Valley where he’ll Co-host Breakfast and be Promotions Mgr, replacing Amy Collett (pictured) who is now Program Director for both Power FM and 2NM. In other news, 2NM Breakfast host Charles Maxwell is leaving to do Mornings at another Grant Broadcasters station, 7AD Devonport and Tassie relay stations. Steve White has been appointed General Manager of 7HO FM in Hobart.

He was previously Group Promotions Director at Macquarie Radio Network, a position Whitey left last month after a reshuffle at MRN.

Former DMG Group Sales Director Jenny Parkes has joined News Limited as Director of Sales Operations at the company's newly formed integrated sales division.

Parkes joined dmg in early 2010 from Austereo, with a remit to reshape the sales function. At the end of her two year contract last year she did not renew with DMG, preferring to pursue new directions.

ABC Foreign Correspondent and International Editor Peter Cave has announced he will retire from the national broadcaster after more than four decades of covering the world's biggest international stories. He has reported from more than 50 countries during his ABC career.

He was the presenter of the ABC's flagship radio current affairs program AM and was bureau chief in several ABC foreign bureaux. Peter is a five-time winner of the Walkley Award.

On April 13 Andy Wells celebrates 20 years in the industry. He is currently audio producer of The Hub, My Generation, Nights with Alice Cooper and also is well known for his commercial Production at MCM Media Pty Ltd.

He started at 2GZ Orange and went on to work at 4CC, Sound Australia, 3SR, HOT100 (Darwin), 2GB,  SUN FM (Shepparton), before joining MCM Media in Melbourne

Sophie McNeill is the new host of triple j’s news and current affairs program, Hack. Current Hack host Tom Tilley will continue to report for Hack and will also now be seen on ABC News 24.

After 34 years in the business and having quit his last radio job as general manager at 2CA/2CC Canberra, Graham Cron retired to laze away the days on the NSW south coast but soon bought himself a local trucking company to stave off boredom. Now his previous bosses at Grant Broadcasters have coaxed him back into the business temporarily to look after 4BU & Hitz FM, Bundaberg till they find a new GM. Power FM/2NM's former promotions manager Amy Collett has been appointed as the stations' new Program Director in Muswellbrook.

Scott McCullough will join Southern Cross Austereo in the role of Agency Sales Director – Radio for Melbourne in July 2012.  He was previously Victorian Sales Director of ARN plus Deputy Sales Director at Pacific Magazines and Deputy Advertising Manager at the Herald Sun in Melbourne.

SCA’s Meg Opie will continue her acting role as Agency Sales Director in Melbourne until McCullough begins with the company mid-year.

Footy star Harry O’Brien has joined Fox FM as the team’s official 2012 AFL reporter just as footy season ramps up. In his weekly segments he will educate Matt and Jo on all things footy.

Cathy Stewart has moved from her position as account manager at Gold FM and Southern Cross Ten on the Gold Coast, and is now Account Director for 97.3 FM at ARN in Brisbane.

After six years at Hot 100 in Darwin, winding up as Music Director and breakfast co-host, Joel Gelding has made the move to nova 93.7 in Perth as announcer.

Former 2Day breakfast presenter Wendy Harmer is back on air, as part of ARN’s 3PM Pick Up with Yumi Stynes and Chrissie Swan. Harmer will host a special panel show on Thursdays to discuss a range of topics targeting women and families.

Barry Keohane, Mix 94.5 Perth Music Director/Assistant Content Director, is on the move. He has accepted the position of General Manager – Content for MyFM China.  MyFM currently have 8 radio stations throughout China, and are continuing to expand.  Barry has experience working overseas, after spending 12 months in Bangkok while working for ESP.  He finishes in Perth on Friday April 20 and starts in China in May.

Camilla Severi who was axed from the Nova Brisbane breakfast show in January - not long after defecting from B105 - has been given a new gig at dmg as ‘ambassador’ for their digital station, Koffee. Starting immediately, her role will include on-air commentary and interviews.

At Sydney's 95.3FM, Ed Phillips moves into the breakfast time slot and Byron Webb will do drive from 4pm to 7pm.  In Melbourne, at 91.5FM, 
Mike Perso continues on breakfast and Cathy Dinn (pictured) will take over for the Drive shift. Ty Frost will be heard on mornings across both stations and Maroon moves to afternoons from 1pm in both cities.

Also at DMG, Justin Checcucci has been engaged as Production Assistant while Mark Robinson will be taking up an Operations role, both positions based out of Melbourne.

David "Christo" Christopher is joining 1029 Hot Tomato to host the RequestFest  night show. He was previously on nights at Nova.

Wendell Sailor has returned to the airwaves as as Kyle and Jackie O's  2012 sports reporter just as footy season ramps up. Wendell joined Sydney’s favourite breakfast team on 2Day FM this morning in the first of this year’s weekly segments where he will educate Kyle & Jackie O on all things sport and deliver the biggest sporting news.

Dee Curtis has been appointed to the position of Assistant Program Director at Nova 106.9 FM Brisbane. The appointment will mean a dual role for Curtis who is also the station’s Integration and Marketing Director.

92.9’s Assistant Content Director & Music Director Jase Allen has been appointed Executive Producer on 92.9’s breakfast show with Lisa, Paul & Baz.  Jase will continue his duties as Assistant Content Director, but the station will be recruiting for someone to take on the Music Director role.  Potential applicants should keep their eye on the radioinfo jobs section for an ad next week.

Stuart Bocking will be staying at 2UE. After being moved from the afternoon shift last month, he will now be doing weekend afternoons between 2pm and 6pm. He will also cover other weekday slots when the regulars are away. Stuart has told radioinfo from April 2, he will be doing the breakfast show for Jason Morrison while he is off on a fortnight's leave.

Austereo's Adelaide sales director Katie Bridges is leaving to take up the position of CEO with the children's charity Little Heroes Foundation.

Macquarie Radio Network has confirmed that Rob Loewenthal has been appointed Managing Director. David Kidd has been appointed PD of 2GB, leaving Ian Holland to concentrate on PD duties at 2CH.

Sammy Power is leaving Wave FM Wollongong. She will finish at the conslusion of the Wollongong survey, then go back to Brisbane to work in her family's company.

Kane Martin has been appointed Program Director at 2XL and Snow FM replacing Jerry Sheers who has moved to Perth with the Capital Radio Network.

Jonathan Green is moving across to radio from his role as Editor of ABC's The Drum, to present Sunday Extra on Radio National.
