Gap Year Asia wins its timeslot

Radio greats Hamish and Andy continue to enjoy success on television, with the premiere of their new Gap Year Asia series attracting huge audience figures last night.

The pair won their timeslot comfortably with a five city audience of 1.566 million, ahead of Border Security on Seven with 839,000 and Master Chef on Ten with 737,000.

Blake and Lee were also back on air with their new radio timeslot of 3pm weekdays for the Happy Hour.

They say they are enjoying bringing  Happy Hour to radios around the country, saying it’s ‘a daily show which we’ve had so much fun doing, but one that still gives us enough time to do our TV stuff, so it’s the best of both worlds. Like when you put fries in a sundae.’

No topics are off limits or too small to be on the agenda for Happy Hour, with the duo aiming to cover off every topic in the world eventually – of which they estimate to be around six trillion.  The more in-depth, unusual and down-right bizarre the topic, the better!

Fifi Box has also returned to the airwaves this week at 4pm weekdays, broadcasting from her home with Jules after three months off settling in with her new baby.

Hamish & Andy’s Happy Hour and Fifi & Jules are heard each day on 2Day FM Sydney, Fox FM Melbourne, B105 Brisbane, SAFM Adelaide, 92.9 FM Perth, NXFM Newcastle, Sea FM Gold Coast and Southern Cross Austereo’s regional Today Network.
