In a video message to radioinfo readers today, Triple J's Tom and Alex have responded to rumours they are being poached by Austereo, denying that they could replace Hamish and Andy.
The pair said they are very happy at Triple J:
“We’re flattered that this rumour has started, but have decided that we’d rather receive disillusioned Hamish and Andy listeners at triple j than struggle to keep them at 2Day FM.”
They also recorded a video message in response to questions from radioinfo, with tongue planted firmly in cheek for some of it. Here is their message (click picture to play).
