ABC not for sale says MD Mark Scott
In the wake of mooted cuts at BBC Radio, the ABC has weighed into the debate with Managing Director Mark Scott arguing the case for public broadcasting on the ABC's opinion site The Drum.
The debate began in the UK when Murdoch press and broadcasting interests started to object to the ratings domination of the BBC and its online expansion, which was against News Limited business interests. Here in Australia, Murdoch's publication The Australian ran a column by Mark Day which brought the battle to Oz.
